Submissions fall into two types:
Full papers describing complete works of original research. Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished research papers that are not being considered in another forum, up to 6 pages in length. Submissions of full papers are no longer accepted.
Short papers describing late-breaking results, novel positions on document analysis systems or demo presentations. Short papers must be at most 2 pages long. Accepted short papers will be presented as posters and will appear in an extra booklet, not in the official DAS2016 proceedings.
Authors must indicate their intention to submit a full paper by submitting their paper details and an abstract by the Abstract Submission deadline (25 September 2015). The full paper can be uploaded either at the same time as the abstract or by the later Full Paper Submission deadline (02 October 2015). Complete submissions of short papers (both abstract and paper) can be made at any time until the indicated corresponding deadline.
All submissions will undergo a rigorous review process with a minimum of 3 reviews considering the originality of work, the quality of research or analysis of experience, the relevance to document analysis systems, and quality of presentation of ideas. The review process is single-blind, therefore authors are required to include their names and affiliations in their papers as illustrated in the paper formatting templates provided.
All papers must conform to the IEEE Conference Proceedings format (see below for Word and LaTeX templates).
Manuscript length: 6 pages maximum for full papers, 2 pages maximum for short papers. These are strict limits.
Papers must be submitted in PDF format. Please make sure to use the appropriate IEEE Conference Proceedings template below.
DAS2016 is an IAPR Sponsored event and it requires that Authors comply with the IAPR Ethical Requirements. By submitting a paper to DAS2016, Authors implicitly certify their acceptance of those requirements and their full compliance with them.
