Lotte Wilms

Lotte Wilms is the Digital Scholarship Advisor of the Research department of the KB, National Library of the Netherlands and coordinates the KB Lab (http://lab.kb.nl/), the experimental platform of the KB. This competition is run within the KB Lab and contributes to the wish of the library to make its digitised collection available as data to research communities for benchmarking and competitions. Lotte is also a board member of the IMPACT Centre of Competence for Text Digitisation and has collaborated on evaluation of digitised texts in the IMPACT and Europeana Newspaper projects for which ground-truth was produced of the KB’s digitised collections in collaboration with the PRImA Research Lab.

Steven Claeyssens

Steven Claeyssens is the curator of Digital Collections at the KB, National Library of the Netherlands. He holds an MA in Philology from Ghent University and an MA in Book and Publishing Studies from Leiden University. He wrote a PhD on publishing in the Netherlands during the first half of the 20th century. In recent years his focus has shifted to all things digital: Digital Humanities, digital publishing, digital source critique and textual data. Steven is a member of the KB’s Digital Humanities team and will be involved in the competition as the expert on the digitised collection.
